Design Communication (ARC62404)

The Design Communication module introduces fundamental skills for the appropriate communication of architectural design by engaging different means of visualization and spatial ideas through architectural drawings to prepare students with the skills required in design projects which are taught through a series of freehand and constructed drawing.

T1: Self Expression

I am a blur person and always have my head up in the clouds. The self-expression features me above the clouds with my hand reaching out to the brightest star in the sky. The star represents my hopes to become a confident and strong person. However, veins that coil my body represent the negative words and actions by people are pulling my body down to the ground and away from the stars, making me feel insecure and full of anxiety. The butterflies that surround and pulls me upwards represent my hopes to become unrestricted and free one day, hopefully soon.

Self reflection

Throughout the lectures, module assessments, and projects given this semester, I've learnt a lot about the skills of producing quality models and drawings. Having online classes this semester had been difficult but manageable with the help of the lectures, information and guidance provided by tutors and module coordinator on TIMeS, Teams and Facebook.
